Internet v. World Wide Web     The internet was created by a large group of scientist in the early 1960s. J.C.R Licklider is credited with the idea of an “Intergalactic Network” of computers. This network was soon then catapulted into the internet we all know today. There was a lot of other scientists that made advancements in between Likelider and now, but he was one of the very firsts to come up with idea of communication between computers.  Hi guys! My name is Carly, I am a sophomore at UT. My major is design, and my minor is Public Relations. I was born in south jersey, but I moved to Jacksonville Florida right before high school started. I have always had a passion for creating things and designing things, so I am so grateful to have found a major that I love.  I am excited to take on this class, last semester I took digital arts, and I loved it. I have a feeling it will be pretty similar to this course. Outside of school I really enjoy interior design and spending time with my friends. I try to be as creative as I can all the time in my personal life and in my school life. I look forward to working with everyone this semester :)
