business cards

These are my business cards. For this project we used Indesign and I really enjoyed it, more than I thought I would actually. The thing I liked most about Indesign is how organized everything is. I felt like everything made sense and the saving process was really easy, I love how it put everything in a folder. Also everything just made sense to me having pages, it was nice to see multiple pages at a time.  For all of my business cards I started first by making the 6 pages and then making layers for my text, logo, images, and background. I then imported my logo first, because I wanted it to be my main focus. I then took the colors from all of the three different color logos using the eyedropper tool and saved them. I then added the background to all of the business cards and started to type up the information I wanted on the back.  I really enjoy how all of these came out and I am really proud of them, especially the first one. This one was actually the last one and the fastest one I cr

in design tutorials

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXRT3dHu6_o  in design for beginners  I have barely used indesign before so this was very helpful. This layout of this video is very nice and even though it was a lot of information I feel like it was easy to retain.  I have never really used indesign before so because of this I tried to follow along with the tutorial and try out all of the functions that were being shown I think this helped.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg2FzMO-NrY  in design for the iPad pro  Like I have mentioned before, I really love to use my iPad pro for this class and other classes. Im not sure if it will be that useful for this section on indesign. I think it will be a lot better to stay on the computer for the next projects and this tutorial showed me that. You can definitely do some cool things with it on the iPad but I think I will mainly stay on the computer or desktop.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FclSU2_A_R4 keyboard shortcuts for indesign  I always love to look up

autoscopy

this is my autoscopy. I wanted to go for a futuristic, trippy look for this project. I really enjoy how it turned out. To start I went on Pinterest to find inspiration, this is how I start a lot of my projects. I quickly realized that I wanted to include the moon and do something crazy with the sky.  When I found my inspiration photos I got to work by taking this photo of me on davis island and putting it in to photoshop. I then created layers to add in each icon like the butterflies, moon, planet, and smiley faces. Each icon got its on layer and I took away the background in the original photo of the icon. I then worked on the car background, I had to move the layers around and take away from the original photo to line it up correctly with the water.  The last thing I did was play with the saturation and hues of all the layers. I am so glad I did this because it really brought the whole thing together. There are a lot of meaningful things in this piece. I have always had such a speci

pop art photoshop

This photo of myself has always been one of my favorites and my family's favorite. I was very excited to use it. First I changed the photo from the original color to black and white by using the greyscale feature in photoshop. Then I got to work picking my colors that I wanted to use on adobe. This is always my favorite part. I love picking the colors because that is when the vision really comes to life in my head. Then I started to outline the large pieces like my hair sunglasses and scarf. I wanted to go for a pop art look so I played around with using the brush tool to outline the colors. I never really used opacity on photoshop before, so I also played around with that.  these are my black and white to color photos. This picture is of me as a baby and I have always loved it. I went for a pop art style and I really love how they turned out. I had a lot of fun playing with this much color, I love how sassy this photo is to begin with, and I feel like the colors give it even more
