About me

 Hi guys! My name is Carly, I am a sophomore at UT. My major is design, and my minor is Public Relations. I was born in south jersey, but I moved to Jacksonville Florida right before high school started. I have always had a passion for creating things and designing things, so I am so grateful to have found a major that I love. 

I am excited to take on this class, last semester I took digital arts, and I loved it. I have a feeling it will be pretty similar to this course. Outside of school I really enjoy interior design and spending time with my friends. I try to be as creative as I can all the time in my personal life and in my school life. I look forward to working with everyone this semester :)

final portfolio

  This is my final portfolio. I really like using indesign so I really enjoyed putting this together. Like I have said in other blog posts I like indesign so much because of how organized it is. Indesign just makes sense in my head. I really like how this project came out, I thought it was cool to see my progression through out the year. I also really like how the theme is cohesive throughout the whole project. For my color scheme I took colors from adobe.color.com they had so many to pick from. I went with a muted color pallet so my work could really shine through. I also really like the font I picked I think it is fun and pretty easy to read.

in design tutorials

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXRT3dHu6_o  in design for beginners  I have barely used indesign before so this was very helpful. This layout of this video is very nice and even though it was a lot of information I feel like it was easy to retain.  I have never really used indesign before so because of this I tried to follow along with the tutorial and try out all of the functions that were being shown I think this helped.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg2FzMO-NrY  in design for the iPad pro  Like I have mentioned before, I really love to use my iPad pro for this class and other classes. Im not sure if it will be that useful for this section on indesign. I think it will be a lot better to stay on the computer for the next projects and this tutorial showed me that. photoshop tutorials

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyR_uYsRdPs  photoshop for beginners this video was really helpful to get the basics down.  I liked how it was laid out and how he showed you how to do things. I have used photoshop a little bit before, but this video was still really helpful. It is always so hard to remember how to do things especially when you took a break for a little.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wk960TDAyLU top 10 photoshop shortcuts (most helpful shortcuts)  I am all about shortcuts so this is something I will always look up when I am starting with a new adobe system. This video was really helpful and I always feel so fancy when I use shortcuts like this.
