adobe illustrator tutorials

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GzumUieDPY

I thought this video was extremly helpful, when I am learning I like to get straight to the point and then I can practice it on my own so I liked how short and consice this video was. I think the pen tool is going to be the hardest to master but I didn’t even know the curved pen tool existed so I am excited to use that one. I think the eyedropper tool that was talked about will come in handy when working on more detialed projects.

I really liked this video as well, I have an iPad pro and I really like using it with the adobe software. I liked how in this video he showed how he uses his layers and locks the sketch into the background of the work, I think that is a really good idea and is something I will be doing from now on. With the iPad things are different than on a computer my goal is to learn both of them so I can create the best work I can.

this video was a little different than the other videos, it focused on how to make your work more efficiently. I love learning new short cuts and there were a lot in here that I haven’t learned yet. I am definitely still a beginner when it comes to adobe so the more help I can get the better. The shortcuts in this video were really good the hardest part about them is just going to be remembering to use them.

autoscopy

this is my autoscopy. I wanted to go for a futuristic, trippy look for this project. I really enjoy how it turned out. To start I went on Pinterest to find inspiration, this is how I start a lot of my projects. I quickly realized that I wanted to include the moon and do something crazy with the sky.  When I found my inspiration photos I got to work by taking this photo of me on davis island and putting it in to photoshop. I then created layers to add in each icon like the butterflies, moon, planet, and smiley faces. Each icon got its on layer and I took away the background in the original photo of the icon. I then worked on the car background, I had to move the layers around and take away from the original photo to line it up correctly with the water.  The last thing I did was play with the saturation and hues of all the layers. I am so glad I did this because it really brought the whole thing together. There are a lot of meaningful things in this piece. I have always ha...

color logos

these are my first color logos, I wanted to go for a monochromatic look overall, and I think I achieved my vision. The colors I chose all go together and are relatively similar to my natural hair color. I have always wanted to have pink hair so that's why I chose pink for the top design. I really like how it came out, and I think it could be used for a lot of different logos.  These logos are my favorite things I have ever made digitally. My curly hair is my favorite thing about myself so I loved showing that through my art. First I took down a lot of sketches on paper and then started to filter out the ones I didn't like and the last one I chose was very similar to this. I used my iPad again with the illustrator app to create these pieces. By using the pen I got a lot of control with all the curves and tiny details. I love using the apple pencil in my work. When creating these I made a bunch of layers and keep taking them away to see which ones worked the best. I love using la...

pop art photoshop

This photo of myself has always been one of my favorites and my family's favorite. I was very excited to use it. First I changed the photo from the original color to black and white by using the greyscale feature in photoshop. Then I got to work picking my colors that I wanted to use on adobe. This is always my favorite part. I love picking the colors because that is when the vision really comes to life in my head. Then I started to outline the large pieces like my hair sunglasses and scarf. I wanted to go for a pop art look so I played around with using the brush tool to outline the colors. I never really used opacity on photoshop before, so I also played around with that.  these are my black and white to color photos. This picture is of me as a baby and I have always loved it. I went for a pop art style and I really love how they turned out. I had a lot of fun playing with this much color, I love how sassy this photo is to begin with, and I feel like the colors give it even more ...
