color logos

these are my first color logos, I wanted to go for a monochromatic look overall, and I think I achieved my vision. The colors I chose all go together and are relatively similar to my natural hair color. I have always wanted to have pink hair so that's why I chose pink for the top design. I really like how it came out, and I think it could be used for a lot of different logos.

These logos are my favorite things I have ever made digitally. My curly hair is my favorite thing about myself so I loved showing that through my art. First I took down a lot of sketches on paper and then started to filter out the ones I didn't like and the last one I chose was very similar to this. I used my iPad again with the illustrator app to create these pieces. By using the pen I got a lot of control with all the curves and tiny details. I love using the apple pencil in my work. When creating these I made a bunch of layers and keep taking them away to see which ones worked the best. I love using layers because it is like sketching on paper but with out all of the erasing.

Comments

  1. I think this logo is so cute. I could see it working for a small business or a personal brand. Its fun but still simple. I love the small details you added to the hair, it gives the curly hari texture and character as curly hair does LOL. My favorite one is the bottom one with light brown hair.

  2. I like the simplicity of this logo. I like the neutral colors, I can really see this being an actual logo for a hair product or something.

final portfolio

This is my final portfolio. I really like using indesign so I really enjoyed putting this together. Like I have said in other blog posts I like indesign so much because of how organized it is. Indesign just makes sense in my head. I really like how this project came out, I thought it was cool to see my progression through out the year. I also really like how the theme is cohesive throughout the whole project. For my color scheme I took colors from adobe.color.com they had so many to pick from. I went with a muted color pallet so my work could really shine through. I also really like the font I picked I think it is fun and pretty easy to read.

business cards

These are my business cards. For this project we used Indesign and I really enjoyed it, more than I thought I would actually. The thing I liked most about Indesign is how organized everything is. I felt like everything made sense and the saving process was really easy, I love how it put everything in a folder. Also everything just made sense to me having pages, it was nice to see multiple pages at a time.  For all of my business cards I started first by making the 6 pages and then making layers for my text, logo, images, and background. I then imported my logo first, because I wanted it to be my main focus. I then took the colors from all of the three different color logos using the eyedropper tool and saved them. I then added the background to all of the business cards and started to type up the information I wanted on the back.  I really enjoy how all of these came out and I am really proud of them, especially the first one. This one was actually the last one and the fastest...
