black and white logo

 

This is my black and white logo I love this logo. I think it really depicts me well. When creating this logo I wanted to show off my hair which is something that I love a lot about myself. I think the way I depicted it is simple enough, but it is still detailed. I wanted this logo to be able be blown up and brought down into a smaller size and I feel like I accomplished that. This is one of my favorite pieces that I have done. 

I have had this logo for a while, but I added a few things to it for this assignment. I played around with the thickness and densities of the lines. I also added the little mole, this made it even more personal because I have that mole on my face. I thought about adding a mask to this piece just given the current climate, but I honestly am so over seeing covid art. Im not sure if that is bad or not, but I just want this pandemic to be over. So I did not end up adding that. Im glad I didn't. I am very excited to finally add color to this piece. I have been meaning to for a while, but never got around to it. I am hoping to stay in the monochromatic theme like I usually tend to do. I also have been thinking about dying my hair pink so maybe that will play into my design.

final portfolio

  This is my final portfolio. I really like using indesign so I really enjoyed putting this together. Like I have said in other blog posts I like indesign so much because of how organized it is. Indesign just makes sense in my head. I really like how this project came out, I thought it was cool to see my progression through out the year. I also really like how the theme is cohesive throughout the whole project. For my color scheme I took colors from adobe.color.com they had so many to pick from. I went with a muted color pallet so my work could really shine through. I also really like the font I picked I think it is fun and pretty easy to read.

brush

this assignment was very fun for me. I love taking past work and adding to it. I have never made a brush in photoshop before so that was very exciting as well. I love my logo to begin with and I love the graffiti look this project gave it. First we started by taking my logo and adding different layers to it and playing with the opacity. The most challenging part was keeping the integrity of the piece, allowing the viewer to still see what the logo is. I think I accomplished this. By having multiple layers it really makes the piece look authentic like it is actually a piece of graffiti.   This is my logo made into a brush, with black and white, and then took the brush and created a pattern. I really like how bright and different this work ended up being compared to my other work. I haven't really done that much work in photoshop and I really liked it. It's hard for me to break out from the norm, but I enjoyed the challenge.

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXRT3dHu6_o  in design for beginners  I have barely used indesign before so this was very helpful. This layout of this video is very nice and even though it was a lot of information I feel like it was easy to retain.  I have never really used indesign before so because of this I tried to follow along with the tutorial and try out all of the functions that were being shown I think this helped.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg2FzMO-NrY  in design for the iPad pro  Like I have mentioned before, I really love to use my iPad pro for this class and other classes. Im not sure if it will be that useful for this section on indesign. I think it will be a lot better to stay on the computer for the next projects and this tutorial showed me that.
